About
Zipcare Women Initiative is a Kenyan community-based organization dedicated to empowering Persons with Disability, youths, women and girls through health, economic empowerment, education, governance, and inclusion. Since our establishment in 2022, we have worked with local and national partners to address inequality, strengthen community resilience, and create opportunities for marginalized populations.
Zipcare Women Initiative is a community-based non-governmental organization founded since April of 2020. It's founder, Zipporah Mwangangi, works to improve the lives of women living in the informal settlement in Umoja and Kayole in Nairobi, Kenya. Zipcare was officially registered with the Kenyan government in May of 2022 and continued to grow. Now, the group consists of members including Women, Youth and Persons with disability who are considered members of the Key Vulnerable (affected) population.

Our mission is to support and empower vulnerable, marginalized persons with disability, youths, women and girls living in the informal settlement of Nairobi, Kenya through health, economic empowerment, education, and governance capacity.
Our Vision
Zipcare envisions an equitable society where women and persons with disability are respected, protected, heard, supported, and live free of violence and human rights abuses.
